If you’re just learning the basics and have limited racquet sports ability, you’re a ROOKIE! Your participation in these clinics will help our Pro Staff evaluate your ability and direct you to the correct Open Play sessions at FPC when you’re ready. 

Goal- to help new players be more comfortable and competitive in FPC Beginner Open Play

• Intro and review - proper scoring, two bounce rule, offense-defense and proper position of serving and returning teams.
• Proper serving technique, how to return serve and to successfully sustain a Pickleball point in a live play format.
• Development of the proper pendulum stroke on the forehand & backhand side 
• Gaining confidence to approach the NVZ (kitchen) to develop proper dinking techniques and volleying skills.

Our Pro Staff will work with new players to get them on the court playing in our Open Plays in no time.

If our Pro Staff moves you up from ROOKIE OR you have a racquet sports background, you’re ready for NEXT STEPS CLINICS. Your participation in these clinics will help our Pro Staff evaluate your ability and direct you to the correct Open Play sessions at FPC. As you continue in these clinics, you will stay competitive and possibly advance to the next Open Play level at FPC!

Goal - to help developing players advance their game to FPC Beginner/ Intermediate and even Intermediate Open Plays

• Learning to consistently dink while changing directions from cross court to down the line forehand & backhand.
• Keeping your advantage and not retreating from the NVZ (kitchen)
• Will learn to sustain a short volley exchange at the net.
• Developing a consistent 3rd shot drop to help you aggressively move to the NVZ (kitchen) as the serving team. 
• Helping teams work together to approach NVZ (kitchen) for dinks & volleys.
• More advanced movement and mobility drills developing court quickness.
• Work and focus on improving control on forehand and backhand groundstrokes (direction, depth, height)
• Learning proper technique especially on the backhand side
• Growth in ability to keep ball in play during short rallies.
• Development in shot selection, shot placement, shot power and shot depth including serves and return of serves.

Goal - to help competitive players stay tough and grow the tools needed to progress to FPC Advanced Open Plays

Knows and working on consistency.... 

• Can consistently dink while changing directions from cross court to down the line forehand & backhand
• Punches volley to the back 1⁄2 of opponent court to keep opponents at the baseline
• Performs 3rd shot drop from the baseline for purpose
• Moving forward as a team to approach NVZ for dinks & volleys
• Demonstrates control on forehand and backhand groundstrokes (direction, speed, depth, height) Keeps ball in play during rallies and is aware of minimizing errors
• Able to communicate effectively with partner and utilize different strategies to expose opponent weaknesses • Using deeper and higher returns to approach the net quicker
• Uses offensive lobs effectively
• Demonstrates better placement and depth on serves and return of serves

Goal - to build a game that is tournament ready, successfully strategic, mentally tough and athletically sound to advance as an expert player

These clinics are for players who have demonstrated a high level of competitive play in our Intermediate and Advanced Open Plays. 

An FPC Pro Staff member will introduce high level live ball drills to warm-up, but the focus will be on game play. 

The Pro will then make the “fourth” player on the court and regular games will be played. The Pro will stop and critique play at times to demonstrate proper shot selection, court coverage, player responsibility and focus on strategic adjustments to help you play better Pickleball! 

As you continue in these clinics, you will stay competitive and possibly advance to the next Open Play level at FPC! 

Although you can register individually, we recommend that you sign-up with players you know at your level.

These clinics are for players who have been competing and are looking to improve their skills with high-energy drills and strategy sessions. As competition gets tougher, it becomes more difficult to stay competitive and to advance in level, these clinics will help players overcome the pitfalls that hold them back from advancing.

For continuity and flow of play we request either registering as a group or communicating with our staff before registering.

STEP 1 - Choose Your Weekly 1-hour time slot!
Monday 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Tuesday 1:00 - 5:00 PM
Thursday 1:00 - 4:00 PM
Friday 1:00 - 4:00 PM

STEP 2 - Form Your Group!
Get 4 players together who will attend each week OR make a weekly schedule with a larger group (suggestion is 6-8 but more would work). With extra players you’ll create and submit to FPC a weekly rotation schedule. Other players in your group can be subs and you can trade spots if necessary.

STEP 3 - Choose your payment plan!
FLEX-PAY - Each week the four players on your schedule will be charged clinic fee $25 each. No shows will be charged.
PRE-PAY - Share your season equally with ½ season (through Christmas); full season (through April); or customize (minimum 8 weeks). Total amount is divided by the number of participants.

Sunday Night Dinks with Kevin is an interactive open play on Sunday evenings. Kevin will walk the courts and provide realtime instruction and shot suggestions. Come with your tournament or league partner and receive suggestions on communication and the best use of the court.

Goal: Elevating Strategy Through Angle Mastery, Sequences, and Positioning

This lesson is meticulously designed for players aspiring to excel in a variety of settings, be it tournaments, leagues, or partner-play social events. With a deliberate focus on strategy over technique, this session equips players with insights into the "when" and "why" of specific shots while placing significant emphasis on optimal positioning and anticipation. The majority of this lesson immerses you in live gameplay scenarios, delivering hands-on experience in the art of strategic decision-making.

This lesson accommodates a group of 3 or 4 players.  Pro Instructor Robbie embracing the dual role of player and facilitator. Robbie will strategically intervene, offering guidance during key moments throughout the session.

Goal:  Elevating Strategy, Teamwork, Communication, and Game Planning Across All Skill Levels 

This private lesson is tailored for players seeking to collaborate effectively in various settings, such as tournaments, leagues, or partner-play social events. Emphasizing strategy over technique, this session aims to empower players with insights into the "when" and "why" of specific shots, how to generate and anticipate sequences, and ways to manage the tempo of the game. The majority of the lesson will immerse you in actual gameplay scenarios, providing practical experience in strategic decision-making.

Lesson Options:
Partners have two enticing options:

 1. A private team lesson, where you and your partner exclusively occupy the court, guided by Robbie who will bring a 4.0+ player to join his team.

*Cost of this lesson is $60.00 per player

2. Alternatively, the second option involves two teams participating in the lesson simultaneously, with Robbie taking on the role of both player and facilitator. Robbie will intervene and provide guidance at strategic moments during the session.

Twice a week Robbie runs open plays for mixed levels to provide real-time game skills. 

Skills change weekly so keep a look out for a skill you are trying to perfect!!

COST is $17 for 90 minute

$20 for 120 minute
